“Tom was a valued colleague for many years. His work was collaborative, intersectional, and effective, whether focused on mental health, leadership, violence prevention, conduct issues, race, gender identity, or sexuality.”

About

I have spent my entire career working with men and boys.

I have worked in contexts ranging from small local schools to Fortune 500 corporations to the NFL. I have been the director of a community-based men’s center and founded the UMass Amherst Men and Masculinities Center. I created and direct the award winning program Phallacies, a men’s health dialogue and theater program.

Throughout it all, my focus has been about supporting masculinities that are healthy for individuals, families, organizations, and communities.

My intention is to help you reach your goals to support masculinities that are healthy for your organization and community. I can work with small groups of male-identified individuals or support systemic change efforts.

Tom Schiff, Ed.D.

I am committed to working toward a world free from violence and oppression, a world where men take responsibility for educating ourselves and each other, as well as joining with others, and do so with care, compassion, and creativity. I do this through supporting individuals, groups, and systems.
